Hines long-standing funder has backed its development of the 18-unit Aurora Park urban logistics scheme with Chancerygate.

The events and training specialist has taken Building 90 at the Oxfordshire automotive and aerospace hub.

The 12-unit estate was bought on behalf of the partners' urban logistics joint venture.

The scheme in South Yorkshire is now fully let following the earlier completion of a 186,000 sq ft lease to Gem Imports.

The company plans to develop two more industrial units at the established Mountpark industrial and logistics site.

The deal is the third purchase for the JV, which plans to upgrade the site to provide high-quality industrial units and secure yard space.

According to economics director Allan Wilen, worsening figures for the three months to February mean hopes for a recovery later this year "now hang in the balance".

Chief executive Lynda Shillaw said: “We are in a strong position to capitalise on market trends and unlock value to crystallise attractive medium-term opportunities."

The 54-acre multi-let industrial site includes a 6.7-acre development plot with planning consent that Chancerygate plans to develop.

DC762 forms part of three expansion plots at Daventry International Rail Freight Terminal, which together total more than 1m sq ft.

The 10-acre site has direct access to Belfast Port and comprises a 91,000 sq ft distribution facility integrated with a 479-space multistorey van parking deck and existing EV charging infrastructure.
